Patty Bilyeu, MBA, CPA

Patty Bilyeu, MBA, CPA, the owner of the firm, has been practicing accounting in Crossville since 1997. She graduated from Tennessee Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master’s in Business Administration. At work, Patty serves our clients in all areas of taxation and accounting. In 2017, Patty joined together with Katie Carnahan to begin Heritage Wealth Management, our financial services division. Patty obtained her Series 6, 7 and 63 licenses so that she can provide financial representative services to our clients. Patty’s strength lies in being a great listener, hearing the needs and wants of our clients, and then helping them to pursue their goals with customized strategies designed just for them.

When she is not at work, Patty enjoys playing with her dogs, painting landscapes with her husband Mike, and spending time with family and friends.

Tiffany Crabtree

Tiffany began working for Bilyeu CPA in July 2014. She is a Certified Public Accountant, holding certifications in both Tennessee and Georgia, with over 9 years of experience in public accounting. Our clients value her expertise and calm decision-making skills while she handles everything from day to day bookkeeping and payroll, reviewing financial statements to preparing tax returns for businesses, individuals, estates and trusts. She is always willing to lend her support, along with her knowledge in keeping our office in compliance with the ever-changing tax laws. Tiffany lives in Jamestown with her husband, Jonathan, and her two children, Caitlin and Aedan. She enjoys the arts of baking, music and literature, and spending time outdoors with her family.

Katie Carnahan

Staff Accountant

Katie started working with Bilyeu CPA Group in 2014 and has her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Tennessee Tech University. She specializes in 1040 Personal Tax returns and Sole Proprietors. She also provides bookkeeping and payroll services for small businesses. Katie is a partner with Heritage Wealth Management. Heritage was established in 2018 as the Retirement Services division in Bilyeu CPA Group. She has her Series 6 and Series 7 licenses and can manage retirement accounts for individuals or companies. She enjoys meeting with clients and advising them in planning for their best retirement possible. Katie lives in White county with her husband Alden and son William. She enjoys hiking with her dog Violet, watching the Braves play baseball and attending church.

Lisa Moore

Staff Accountant

Lisa comes to the Bilyeu CPA family with an extensive list of achievements and experience. She spent most of her 37 years in the accounting field in Georgia. There she was an active accountant, specializing in working in numerous software applications. She is very adept in Quickbooks, Quickbooks Online, Sage, Thomson Reuters and Microsoft Office among many more. She has spent time working with attorneys, representing clients with the IRS. She has over 15 years of experience in forensic accounting and investigations. She is very adept at bookkeeping and payroll for small businesses and we are happy to have her as part of our team. She moved to Overton County a few years ago to live on her grandparent’s farm. Lisa has three children, Jillian, Timothy, and Michael. She enjoys hiking, camping, traveling and exploring all that our local communities have to offer.

Kelly Garza

Administrative Assistant

Kelly started her first day with us on Halloween, 2017. For some reason, she chose not to “dress up” for the holiday and was the only one in the office that looked like a professional for the day. Thank goodness someone did. She comes to us with over 20 years of administrative and payroll experience. Kelly is very detail oriented and keeps all of us on our toes, while keeping our front office running smooth. There is nothing more valued during tax season than a well-run front office and she masters this to a “T”. Kelly has been married to her husband, George, for 20 years. They have six children and 11 grandchildren. She enjoys hiking, attending and participating in activities and missions with Central Baptist Church and volunteering with No Child Hungry Ministry. We hope that Kelly calls Bilyeu CPA home for many years to come.

Shelley Brownfield

Accounting Assistant

Shelley came to us from North Pole, Alaska where I’m sure Santa and his elves are missing her. Their loss is our gain as we are very happy she is a part of our Bilyeu family. She moved to Tennessee in May of 2018 and came to work for Bilyeu CPA Group in October of the same year. She has worked in the accounting profession for almost 30 years. Shelley lives in Crossville with her companion, Boyd and a menagerie of animals. She spends her free time with her six dogs, visiting the local farmer’s markets, exploring our local sites, and learning the art of beekeeping.

Alden Carnahan

Staff Accountant

Alden joined our team in 2019 as a staff accountant and we are very happy to have him. He has already proven himself in the short time he has been here, learning his new duties, getting to know his clients and working hard to pitch in where needed. He hails from Nashville with a bachelor's degree from Tennessee Tech and is working on a secondary degree. He is an avid Auburn football and Atlanta Braves fan. He is the proud new father of baby William with his wife Katie. Needless to say his time spent engaging in his normal spare-time activities, playing golf and working out, will probably be cut short for a while.
